Washington DC ( Little Ethiopia ) -The Legendary former Minister of State who is known as the father of Ethiopian tourism died in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia this week. The 91 year old, Lij Hapte Selassie Tafesse coined  the official Ethiopian tourism motto "The land of 13 months of sunshine." His contribution in advancing he Ethiopian tourist industry was immense in the era of Emperor Haile Selassie I and beyond.

Little Ethiopia had a very brief interview with a family family who told us that there will be a special service for the outstanding civil servant who had impacted tourism. We will update our readers as we get more information.
