Ruhama Hayle Speaks at The Commemoration of the 54th Anniversary of African Unity-African Unity & Beyond

DuPont Circle ( Washington DC )- Little Ethiopian and friends celebrate the 54 Anniversary of the founding of the Organization of African Unity ( now African Union ) to commemorate the outstanding achievements of 32 independent African nations who fought for their freedom against European Imperialism and Colonialism . The commemoration event includes panel discussions by distinguished speakers from the community at large and diplomats. The magnificent Ethiopian cuisines will be served free to those who RSVP before May 22, 2017.

The late Emperor Haile Selassie I and 31 African heads of states and governments signed a charter in the capital city of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa on May 25,1963. Now the organization has 55 member-nations.The Ethiopian beauty queen Ruhama Hayle, Miss Ethiopia USA 2016-17 who gained prominence in the African Diaspora community for being active in advocating and participating on issues that affects the communities at large runs her own NGO to help people in her hometown of Jimma, Ethiopia. The region where she came from is the origin of Coffee and infact the name coffee came from the Ethiopian province of " Kaffa "
