There's going to be a new option in Dallas for East African cuisine. Dallas Culturemap reportsthat the soon-to-open Marrosso Cafe will serve up food from Ethiopia, Sudan, Kenya, and Eritrea.

The restaurant is going in at 7989 Belt Line Rd. in Spring Creek Village, and it’s slated to open in December. It’s from a husband-and-wife team who plan on cooking everything from scratch. Marrosso Cafe is going to be outfitted with a bar, by popular request.

The restaurant will serve meat, but much of the entrees will appeal to vegetarians and vegans too with a focus on cabbage, collard greens, spinach, and potatoes. Marrosso Cafe will be open for breakfast too, serving up American classics and African breads along with a breakfast version of falafel.
