Little Europe in the Historic Del Ray Brings Tasty French Treats in Your Back Yard

Alexandria, Virginia ( Little Ethiopia )-Mayor Allison Silberberg of Alexandria, former Mayor Bill Euille , Delegate Mark H. Levine, Councilman Willie F. Bailey Sr., other elected officials and guests didn't have to spend lots of money to fly to Paris to enjoy gourmet French treats but go to the newly opened confectionery shop known as Dolce and Beans on Mount Vernon Ave in the historic Del Ray neighborhood. The business that opened its door last month at  2003 A Mount Vernon Avenue is owned and operated by two innovative couple, Cookie Seifu and Peter Gebre-Igzabher.  They had a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony by the mayor and the city officials on Saturday, May 6, 2017.

The store carries such great fine goodies like French Macarons , Belgian chocolates, premium gelato, crepes, candy bars , coffee and tea products. Visitors to the store have a chance to win a number of prizes.The store will hold a drawing ON May 24 for gift certificates and a grand prize of dinner for four at a Del Ray restaurant and guided dessert tour. To enter the drawing, register in-store or like the Dolce and Bean Facebook page through May 15.
