Former Ethiopian Beauty Queen Shared Her Ethiopian Heritage At The Pan African Holiday Celebration of Kwanzaa And Genna On December 26, 2017

Suitland, Maryland ( Little Ethiopia )-The most active and popular Ethiopian beauty queen, Miss Ethiopia USA 2016-17 spoke  to the celebrants of Kwanzaa and Genna in Suitland, Maryland on December 26, 2017 along with the honorables Baba C and Melvin Deal. The 13th Anniversary of the Pan-African Holiday Celebration included Ethiopian traditional coffee ceremony performed by dancer and actress Almaz Tilahun . The breaking of bread by the queen along with the two distinguished African-American social activists who believe the young have to look to Africa for a redemption. several dancing groups showcased their talents and traditional dances from Richmond and Baltimore. The annual event of Kwanzaa and Genna ( Early Celebration of Ethiopian Christmas ) was be held at the Imani Temple.

In the past two Miss Africa USAs from Cameroon and Cape Verde were guests. In 2013 The Mayor of Washington DC Vincent Gray celebrated his African heritage with the same group.
