Washington DC ( Little Ethiopia ) -.On behalf of the Ethiopian Community in the Greater Washington D.C. Metro area, Little Ethiopia organizes an "Arba" honoring the former D.C. Council member Jim Graham. In the Ethiopian culture, the word "Arba"  stands for the number 40. After someone has passed away and buried for over 40 days, family members, relatives and friends gather to remember all the good he has done throughout his life. Since Council Member Jim Graham has been such an important figure in the Ethiopian community, we would like to celebrate his life in our traditional ways and would appreciate for all to join Little Ethiopia as well. Detail will follow .
